Submarines
Quality
The crew’s safety and confidence that all equipment on the boat will perform as expected when it matters most is paramount on a submarine. Like surface vessels, a submarine can be far from its home port. Hence, reliability is paramount, and that is why 95% of the Western World Submarine fleets have Hale Hamilton High Pressure Air and/or Hydraulic Valves installed.
Hale Hamilton products all undergo a rigorous testing programme designed alongside the Submarine builder.
We work closely as a trusted partner with customers and end users to meet the high levels of quality control that meet the technical needs of every application.
All of our documentation is of the highest quality and is supplied to DEF STAN 08-207 Quality Assurance for Safety in Submarines (SSP25). The quality of our documentation is as important to us as the quality of our products.

Longevity
The life of submarines can be up to 25 years and more through life extensions. Products need to be serviceable within that time. At Hale Hamilton, instead of making products obsolete, we like to standardise as much as possible across platforms so that products can be repaired and parts replaced throughout the whole life of the boat. Where possible, we work alongside the platform operators to ensure that any design enhancements on our equipment are shared with all operators.
Our dedicated research and development team work to stay ahead of what submarine customers need, developing products for new platforms with a greater level of capability.
Aftermarket Services
Our services’ quality, performance and availability are as important as they are for our products. Customers need to know that they can rely on us to provide repairs, maintenance and service on-site or at our dedicated facilities.
Our through-life support solutions are tailored to each individual system, product and situation. Our technicians provide bespoke services based on the individual companies’ or authorities’ requirements, from providing OEM spare kits to full on-site operational support contracts.
